Every step is a chance to grow your skills, confidence and independence which moves you closer to the personal goals and outcomes that matter most to you. As the saying goes, a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
We can help you practise everyday skills in a way that feels calm, useful and suited to your pace.

The right support can make everyday tasks feel less overwhelming. Our capacity building support is shaped around what matters to you, whether that means learning how to cook a simple meal, manage routines, travel more confidently, communicate with others or take part in social activities.
We focus on practical progress, not pressure, so skills can build naturally over time.
They are both so good and kind, I look forward to going shopping every week.
Life Skills Development sits under the NDIS Capacity Building budget, in the support category known as Improved Daily Living. This funding is about building skills for the long-term covering the practical, social and personal skills that support you to live as independently as possible, in line with your individual NDIS goals.
Every session is built around the goals you want to achieve. We keep simple progress notes that show how you are connecting to your goals which is helpful for your plan reviews.
Learning the practical skills that make home life run smoothly and comfortably — including personal hygiene and grooming routines, getting dressed, preparing meals, grocery shopping, managing a household budget, cleaning and laundry, and understanding how to manage medications safely.
Building confidence in how you communicate — whether that is face to face, on the phone, by email or using communication devices. We also support reading, writing, and numeracy skills that help you stay informed and in control of your own life.
Developing the social confidence to build and maintain friendships, navigate group settings, understand social boundaries, and speak up for yourself. Good social skills open doors to friendships, to community and to opportunities.
Learning to use public transport, access local services and facilities, navigate your neighbourhood safely, and take part in recreational and community activities. Greater independence in your community means greater freedom in your life.
Understanding how to manage money with confidence — from everyday budgeting and using EFTPOS, to understanding bills, banking, and saving. Practical financial skills support real independence. (Note- we do not offer financial advice or manage participants money, but we help you make a budget and understand practical financial skills).
Understanding and looking after your own health including healthy eating, exercise, emotional wellbeing, self-care routines and knowing how to access health services when you need them. When you feel well, everything is possible.
Building the skills and confidence to move toward work, including writing a resume, preparing for interviews, understanding workplace expectations, managing time and knowing your rights and responsibilities as an employee. We also offer dedicated Get Ready for Employment supports for participants with this goal in their NDIS plan.
Developing the skills to set goals, solve problems, make informed decisions, and speak up for what you need. We support you to understand your rights as an NDIS participant and to feel confident advocating for yourself in any situation.
Building the confidence and capability to manage your own home — from maintaining a safe and clean living environment and understanding tenancy responsibilities, to establishing household routines and knowing what to do in an emergency.
Friendships give us confidence, connection and a genuine support system to lean on. At SupportedPlus, we support you to build social confidence, meet new people and share everyday moments with others who understand you.
Whether it’s joining a group activity, sharing a common interest, or simply spending time with like-minded people, we help you find your place in the community and developing life-long friendships. Because friendships are part of what makes life feel full.
