Supported Independent Living

At SupportedPlus, SIL support is delivered in the participant’s own home. We provide the support — not the housing. Participants retain full control of their own living arrangements. Our service agreement clearly covers support only keeping things transparent, straightforward and entirely in your hands.

Support shaped around your life

Your home should feel comfortable, familiar and genuinely yours. Our Supported Independent Living support is built around your routines, preferences, goals and the way you want each day to unfold.

We take the time to understand what matters to you, then develop a clear support approach that helps you manage daily life, make your own decisions and feel connected to your home and community.

Everyday support

Would you like help with daily routines?

Our team can assist with personal care, meals, household tasks, medication routines and other parts of everyday life.

Consistent support

Looking for a familiar team?

We carefully match workers around your needs, personality and preferences, creating greater consistency within your home.

Choice and independence

Want more control over your day?

We support you to make decisions, build skills and shape routines that reflect how you want to live.

Community connection

Ready to do more locally?

Your support can include getting out, attending appointments, enjoying activities and staying connected with the people and places that matter to you.

A home that feels like yours

Supported Independent Living provides regular assistance for people with higher support needs who want to live more independently at home. This may be in your own home or a home shared with other people.

Your support is planned with you. We listen to how you communicate, the routines you enjoy, the decisions you want to make and the areas where assistance would make life easier. From there, we build a practical approach that supports your safety, independence and personal goals.

Our carers bring patience, respect and genuine care into your home. They get to know the details that matter, from how you like your morning to run to the meals you enjoy and the activities you want to take part in.

Here is what your SIL support looks like at SupportedPlus

Personal Care

Respectful assistance with showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, continence care and other personal routines. Support is delivered with privacy, dignity and your preferences at the centre.

Meal Planning and Preparation

Help choosing meals, shopping for groceries, preparing food and building kitchen skills. We can work around your tastes, cultural preferences, dietary needs and personal goals.

Household Routines

Practical assistance with cleaning, laundry, organising your space and everyday household tasks. Together we build routines that keep your home running the way you want it to.

Medication Support

Support workers do not administer medication. Our trained team provides prompting and practical assistance with medication routines, in line with your individual support plan and the directions of your prescribing health professional — helping you manage your medication safely and consistently.

Building Daily Living Skills

Opportunities to practise cooking, budgeting, household management, communication, planning and other skills that can increase your independence over time.

Appointments and Community Access

Assistance to attend appointments, visit local places and take part in activities and community connections. Note: community access supports may be funded separately in your NDIS plan — talk to us or your support coordinator about how this works.

Overnight Support

Planned assistance during the evening and overnight, based on your assessed support needs and funded SIL arrangement.

Working Towards Your Goals

Everyday encouragement and practical assistance linked to your NDIS goals — including building confidence, supported decision making, learning new skills and being active in your community.

Care built around your choices

You have a voice in the way support is planned and delivered in your home. We involve you in decisions, communicate information clearly and provide the assistance you need to express your preferences.

Your support arrangements can also change as your goals, routines or circumstances develop. Regular conversations help us understand what is working well and where your support can be adjusted.

Provider statement:

We ensure our workers have the knowledge, skills and support to uphold participants’ right to make decisions in a way that suits them, embedded through our governance protocols, policy and worker practice. All workers are trained in supported decision-making, with the will, preference and rights of the participant upheld always. We use data, feedback and evidence-based practice to drive continuous improvement in this area of our service.
